Media filter (vertical)

Introduction

The media filter can use a single media or multiple media according to different needs. The main media of single-media filters are generally quartz sand, manganese sand, and activated carbon. Multi-layer media filters are also called multi-media filters. Its filter media is composed of more than one filter media, generally quartz sand, anthracite and other contact medium.

 

The quartz sand filter is mainly used to reduce the suspended substance and turbidity indicators of the filtered water. The activated carbon filter is mainly used to reduce the content of organic matter and oxides (residual chlorine). The manganese sand in the manganese sand filter mainly plays a catalytic role, and cooperates with the oxidation of dissolved oxygen in the water to remove iron and manganese ions from the water.
